Things took a turn in January 2014 when Carbosticks and Carbo-Rods mysteriously vanished from shelves. After an extensive search, entrepreneur and seasoned CarboStick player and drummer of 30 years, Wouter Menken, uncovered the mastermind behind these innovative drumming tools, Peter Kuppers, nestled in Bavaria. A true virtuoso with a passion for music and drumming, Peter's creations had once dominated the carbon fibre drumstick market. Despite the setback of closing his company in 2013, Peter and Wouter bonded over their shared love for music and drums, leading to a collaboration that birthed Kuppmen Music. Under this new moniker, the sticks have not only undergone a technical evolution but also now meet the demands of modern drummers.
